Consumer Attitudes toward Energy Efficiency: Lessons from the EEI Power Poll

Based on the latest Edison Electric Institute Quarterly Power Poll with consumers nationwide, Wallace Mealiea, Manager of Customer Research and Advertising for EEI, provided an update of the most recent public opinion on key energy efficiency issues, emerging energy efficiency trends based on the last several quarterly Power Polls, and overall consumer attitudes toward energy issues.

The presentation (found here) included a discussion of smart technologies, alternative financing, attitudes toward different efficiency measures, and public opinion about the role of utilities in helping manage customer energy use.
